Methi(fengureek) Potato Paratha Recipe




Total Time :20 Minutes.
Prepare Time:15-18 Minutes.
Cooking Time:1 to 2 min per  paratha

Ingredients:
        
  For the Dough.....
  • 2 Cup-Whole wheat flour
  • 1 tbs-Oil
  • 1 Cup-Water,as needed for kneading 
For Stuffing.......
  • 2 Cup -Fresh fenugreek (methi) leaves chopped
  • 3- Potatoes boiled,mashed
  • 1/2 tbs-Red chilli
  • 1/2 tbs -Garam masala
  • 1/2 tbs-Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil/Ghee-As required for roasting



Direction: How To Cook This Recipe.



  1. Take a wide mixing bowl,and put flour in the bowl and add water little at a time and prepare a soft dough and add oil for more softness and good texture of dough, and cover it and keep it rest for 10 minutes.
  2. Now prepare stuffing for paratha, mix mashed potatoes, chopped methi (fenugreek) finely chopped, add red chilli powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, salt to taste, mix everything well
  3. Now make small ball out of dough and roll out the ball in a small circle.
  4. Add some stuffing in the centre and gather all the corners and seal it well and press it lightly and make roti, don't put too much pressure.
  5. Heat a tawa,put the rolled out paratha on it, let it cook little bit on one side.
  6. Flip it over to the other side and spread some oil/ghee over the paratha which is half coked.
  7. Flip it again, when the second side is half cooked and spread some more oil/ghee.
  8. Flip it again, do it couple of times to get paratha browned and cooked well.
  9. Serve warm with yogurt/butter.
