Total Time:30 Minutes.
Ingredients:
- 1 Cup -rice
- 1/2 Cup -sugar
- 4 Cup -Milk
- 5-6-Green cardamom-crushed
- Dry fruits to your taste: Raisins,Almonds(chopped)
- Water-100 ml
- Wash the rice in the cold eater and let it soak in the water for 10 minutes and after 10 minutes,( if you are using long grain rice like basmati) then you just crush the rice using you, your finger.because then rice will be cook in to milk very easily.
- Pour the milk in a saucepan or kadai and bring to boil over medium heat.
- Once the milk has come to boil,pour the rice in to milk,stir occasionally to make sure the milk does not stick to the pot,the milk and rice will take about 15 minutes to heat up.keep stirring , and after some time you can see milk will get thicker and rice will mix well ,( if the rice is not yet cooked or mixture is too thick add some water.) now add the sugar and mix well ,keep stirring,it will take another 10 minutes for the milk and rice mixture to come to a boil after that you notice how the quantity of the milk reduce and now add dry fruits and mix well. cook another 5 minutes and then switch off the flame.
- Serve warm or chilled, most prefer to eat it cold,so put in the refrigeration for hour before serving
