Cook Time:15 Minutes.
Ingredients:
- 1 Cup- Uncooked Rice
- 1/2 Cup-Sugar
- 20-25-Cloves
- 8-10-Almond,chopped
- 4-5-Green Cardamom Pods(crushed)
- 1 tbs-Ghee
- 1 tsp-Yellow food colour
- 3 Cup-Water
- First soak the rice in a bowl for 15 Minutes.
- And then heat the ghee in a wok/kadai and add cloves and saute for 2 minutes and then add rice with water and add sugar,green cardamon and yellow food colour and mix well.
- And then cover and cook on simmer flame for 10-15 minutes.
- Stir in between to prevent from burning.
- Cook until the rice is cooked completely, and don't overcook as rice turns mushy.
- And serve sweet rice/zarda pulao hot garnished with few chopped almonds.
Notes:
- You can sugar can be replace with jaggery.
- Or you can add cashew,raisins,coconut,little saffron...
