Total Time-1 Hour.
Ingredients
- 2 litres full fat milk.( Milk quantity as your choice)
- One & half tbsp Vinegar or Lemon Juice or Curd(yogurt).
Direction :
How to make this recipe :
- Pour the milk in to the deep pot and set over medium heat, and stir the milk occasionally, scraping the bottom of the pot to make sure the milk doesn't burn. When ready, the milk will look foamy and steamy.
- When the milk boils properly, add vinegar or lemon juice and stir the milk. You will see the milk begins to curdle, turn off the flame now.
- Allow it to settle for 4-5 min.
- Pour it in a thin cheesecloth lined over a colander.
- Rinse it under running water to remove the smell of the vinegar/lemon juice. If using yogurt, you can skip rinsing.
- Make a knot to the cheese cloth. Squeeze any excess water and then place a heavy object on it for the paneer to set. After 20 mins, remove the cloth and cut it to cubes.
- Tips: π If you want paneer keep fresh and moisture in the fridge is to soak the paneer block in the water in a air tight container and keep in the fridge for 2 -3 days, but make sure to change the water everyday.
- Note:π Don't overcook the paneer, it can become hard, immediately turn off the flame when the milk begins to curdle.
- ππππππ enjoyyyyyyyy home made paneer.
