Kadhi Paneer Recipe


Total Time :40 Minutes.
Prep Time: 10 Minutes
Cook Time :30 Minutes.


Ingredients:

  • Besan (Chickpea Flour)-1/2 cup.
  • Yogurt (Curd)-2 cups.
  • Water- 5 Cups or more (according to the consistency)
  • Coriander leaves- Chopped.
  • Ginger and Garlic Paste-1 tsp each.
  • Mustard and Cumin Seeds 1 tsp each.
  • Onion-1
  • Red Chili-1 tbs.
  • Garam Masala-1 tbs.
  • Turmeric Powder-1 tbs.
  • Tomato Paste-2 tbs.
  • Salt to taste
  • Paneer(cottage)-100 gm.
  • Curry Leaves-2-3.
  • Oil - 2 tbs.
Direction:
 How to make this recipes:
  1. Take the mixing bowl and sieve the besan (chickpea) flour in it.
  2. Whisk the yogurt (Curd) and add it slowly to the flour and keep stirring with the spoon, to avoid any lump formation. Add water little by little. Add turmeric to it now and stir till it dissolves. Set aside.



3. Heat little oil in a non-stick frying pan, shallow fry paneer pieces by turning both sides on a low flame till it turn brown (about 8 minutes)




4. Heat the oil in the deep cooking pan, lower the flame to low, add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, red chili, garam masala, curry leaves, cook for 1 minutes until the cumin and mustard seeds start getting dark and add onion and saute till the onions turn light brown. Add ginger, garlic paste along with tomato paste, cook for 2-3 min, add salt to taste.

5. Pour the chickpea flour/yogurt mixture and water in to the pan. Cook for 5 minutes on medium -high heat until it boils.

6. Cover with a lid and cook for 20 minutes on low heat.

7. After 20 minutes, add shallow paneer, coriander chopped leaves and turn off the flame.
