Spinach Koftas(Dumpling) Curry Recipe



Total Time:35 Minutes.

Ingredients:

  • 800 gms -Spinach leaves washed,chopped
  • 3 Medium-Potatoes,boiled,mashed
  • 1 tbs-Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tbs-Cumin seeds
  • 1 tbs-Garlic cloves ,finely chopped
  • 1- Medium onion,chopped
  • 1 tbs- Red chilli powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 Cup-Garam flour
  • 1/4-Wheat Flour
  • 2-Tomato chopped
  • Water
  • Some chopped coriander leaves  for decoration
Direction: How To Cook.












  • Firstly wash the spinach and cut chopped and boil the potatoes and mashed them.
  • Mix spinach and mashed potatoes and add 1 tbs salt and mix well and make lemon size round balls.
  • Make the batter add the water slowly as needed in the besan(garam flour) and wheat flour,batter should be very smooth or no lump.
  • Heat the oil in a frying pan on medium high heat,to check if the oil is ready,put small piece of mix in the oil,oil sizzle.
  • Dip the spinach balls in the batter one at a time and slowly drop in to frying pan,fry koftas(dumpling) until golden brown all around,turn them occasionally,this should take about 3-4 minutes.
Making Gravy:















  • Heat the oil in the pan and add cumin seeds,when its start crackling then add onion,fry till onion become light golden and then add garlic ,tomatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn soft and then add red chilli,salt to taste,turmeric powder,mix well and stir them and then add small cup of finely chopped spinach and mix well and cook for 3-4 minutes and add 1/2 cup of garam flour batter and mix well and adjust the thickness of the gravy to your taste by adjusting the water,cook for 6-8 minutes and then add prepared koftas(dumpling) and let it simmer for 5 minutes.and then turn off the flame and add chopped coriander leaves and cover the pot
  • Serve warm with Roti,Nan,Rice....
