Tomato Rice Soup Recipe




Total Time:15-20 Minutes.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbs-Olive spread
  • 1-Onion chopped
  • 1-Carrot chopped
  • 4-Medium Tomato,chopped,deseeded
  • 1/2 Cup-Rice boiled
  • 1 tbs-Ginger chopped
  • 1 tbs-Dry fenugreek leaves
  • 1 tbs-Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Water,according to consistency 
  • 1/2 Cup-Chopped fresh green coriander
Direction:How To Cook.









  • Heat olive spread/butter in a large pot.
  • Saute onion,ginger,and add dry fenugreek leaves,turmeric powder,mix well
  • And add chopped tomato,carrot and 3 cup of water and cook for 8-10 minutes until tomatoes and carrot become tender or softens, cover the pot with lid,and stirring  in between.




  • In the meantime,you can  cook the rice separately, wash and drain the  rice and put in to the  pan ,add water,oil,salt,bring to a boil and turn the heat to low,cover the pan.cook rice for about 10 minutes or until the rice is tender and water has evaporated.
  • And when tomatoes and carrot become tender, remove the heat and allow to cool.









  • Blend to desired consistency
  • After blend, add water according to your choice,its up-to you , how thick  you want soup .
  • And then add boiled rice and salt to taste and black pepper to taste, mix well, cook another one  minute.,and add chopped coriander and then switch off the flame.

  • Serve hot/warm soup with roasted bread.
