Cooking Time:25 Minutes.
Ingredients:
2-Bitter Guard
3-Onion chopped
1 tbs- Cumin seeds
1 tbs-Coriander powder
1 tbs-Cumin powder
1 tbs-Turmeric Powder
1 tbs- Tomato paste
1 tbs- Mango pickle or Mango powder
1 tbs - Green coriander chutney
oil for cooking
Salt to taste
Direction:How To Cook This.
- Clean and peel some of the bumpy skin off of the bitter guard,and then make a slit along the middle and spoon out any seeds, and then add 1 tbs oil in the pressure cooker and put these karelas(bitter guard) into pressure cooker ,cook them for one whistle and remove from cooker and keep it dry for some time.
- Heat the 2 tbs oil in the pan/kadai and then add cumin seeds and when its start crackle and then add chopped onion and cook for 2-3 minutes or till the onion turn light brown and then add coriander powder and salt to taste and cumin powder and mix well and then add coriander green chutney and 1 tbs tomato paste and turmeric powder and add 1 tbs mango pickle and mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes,and then switch off the flame .
- And after that take karela and stuff the masala into using spoon and press the stuffing properly,so that it does not come out, and you can tie them lightly with tooth pick to make sure they hold together.
- And in the same pan and little oil and put all the stuffed karelas into it and fry for 10 minutes,once they fried, remove from heat and take the toothpick off, and serve hot with roti,naan.
